Susan Carrolan Millinery produces women’s and men’s hats in classic styles that compliment the modern looks of today. Each hat is hand made using traditional millinery techniques emphasizing detailed construction and using only the finest materials.
After studying technical theatre at SUNY Purchase, Susan completed the millinery course at the Fashion Institute of Technology. From there she combined her two degrees and began to assist one of the foremost theatrical milliners in the theatre world today, Rodney Gordon. Indepth on the job training and guidance from Mr. Gordon helped develop the fine craft of millinery you see in each and every one of Susan’s hats.
Today Susan produces two lines a year, a Fall line of felted fur hats and wood caps and a spring line of panama and specialty straw hats. Her specialty hat line has been seen at The Kentucky Derby as well as Ascot.
Susan’s hats are sold at The Hat Shop in NY, The Gallery in Aspen Colorado and various other stores throughout the US.
